What We Collect

This site keeps its tracking to the boring minimum. Analytics software counts anonymous page views so we know which pages get read, and a firewall blocks bots and keeps pages fast. There are no advertising pixels, no cross-site trackers, and no scripts that shadow you across the web. Nothing on this site builds a profile of you, and no data is sold or handed to third parties.

How This Site Handles Your Data

A single cookie notes which booking listings you click, so we can tell which recommendations are actually useful. Nothing more is recorded. When you follow a listing to the live booking page, the operator's privacy policy takes over and ours stops applying. Your card number, your confirmation and your email address never reach us. Whether it is a yatai evening or a day tour to a volcano, the purchase happens between you and the operator alone.

The Live Weather Block

The homepage reads two open feeds published by the Japan Meteorological Agency, in your browser, when you open the page. That request goes straight from your browser to their servers and carries nothing we have added to it. The section is written out in full before any of that happens, so if you block the request, or it fails, you still read a complete and true sentence rather than an error.

Your Choices

Your call, always. Switch cookies off in your browser and every page still loads; you simply drop out of the anonymous count. Because each entry links out to the operator, you can compare options here and then book wherever you like. If you ever want a message you sent us removed, say so and it is deleted.
